Gweneviere Mann Foundation

Our Mission:

Save Lives.

The Gweneviere Mann Foundation (GMF) was created to honor the memory of Gweneviere Mann, an accomplished musician, writer, and marathon runner who overcame a brain tumor only to ten years later lose a battle with a rare form of lung cancer. Throughout her life, Gweneviere was committed to learning and growing as an artist and athlete — and always thriving. With the mission of helping more people thrive in life like Gweneviere did, GMF awards grants to researchers who show promising work in next-generation technology for the early detection of lung cancer and brain tumors.

When Gweneviere Mann lost her short-term memory, following surgery to remove a brain tumor, she was forced to navigate life in a new way. But she wasn't alone. With the support of her boyfriend, Yasir Salem, Gweneviere found she could tackle the challenges her condition threw her way-and a few more.
